Back Yard
Well, here we are in late spring of 2004 (near the end of May).
I gave up
on the pond I started in 2002 - decided it was going to be too much work and
too fussy. Other than that, I haven't done very much with the yard since the
summer of 2002. We have had a wet spring, which is welcomed due to several
dry years. So things are growing well. |

The field/prairie area is growing up nicely.
This spring we have had a lot of bird species coming through,
including several never before observed here. |

Front Yard
Here's a couple of views of the front yard in late May 2004 |

There's a low hedge of grey dogwood along the edge of
the porch.
|
|
|
|
Ash tree to the right; Narrow-leaved Meadowsweet is the
green shrub in the middle. It naturally grows in wet areas, but will
grow if planted in drier areas.
