Mammal Tracks and Sign

Mink

TRACKS

All of the tracks on this page are from the same area, the same mink, and all made at the same time.

Mink frequently slide along the surface of the snow where there is a gradient, much like otters.

Here's a nice example of a mink slide. It's on its way to its burrow.

Here's another slide

Mink tracks leading to its burrow.

The mink came towards the camera from the upper left.
The yellow stain on the snow is where it urinated before entering its burrow.

A different view of the same area. Note the yellow stain.
