Capitol Reef National Park

The Scenic Drive down into Capitol Reef.

In Capitol Gorge. A narrow, twisty gorge, with a narrow twisty road along the bottom of it.

In many places, the road is completely impassible in rains, as it becomes the river bed.

Capitol Gorge...the walls close in.

In Capitol Gorge, past the end of the road, we hiked in to the "tanks". This is simply a term for basins in the rock that hold water for a long time after it rains.
