Colorado National Monument

  

This is our last stop of the trip.

The monolith in the center of the photo is called "Independence Monument".

 

  
These formations are called the "Coke Ovens".

The road runs along the tops of the cliffs, about 1800 feet above the valley below.

  
Sheer sandstone cliffs, more than 1000 feet high.
