Land #2

Here are some photos of our new 56 acre piece of Ontario. This is property #2. (Photos of property #1 are here).

There's a beautiful view looking east (actually east-north-east) from the top of the hill.
And this is a wider-angle view, more to the east.
Here is the view towards the southeast.
This is the view to the west on a very hazy afternoon.

I'll post a better photo once I take some more.

There's a dugout in the middle of the property. The presence of cattails in the water shows that there's water in it year-round. Which in turn indicates that the water table is not very far down.
One third of the property is hardwood forest. There are trails through it. It appears that there will be plenty of spring wildflowers in the woods.
Another forest view. As you can see, mostly young trees.

However, there are some nice old trees along the forest edge. Photos to come at a later date.

Another view of the forest, at the edge.

There appears to be mostly Sugar Maple, Ironwood (Hop Hornbeam), and Hemlock. probably other species as well, but I have yet to do any sort of inventory.

Along the edge of the hardwood forest.
A view on the same hazy afternoon towards the north.
Another view to the north, alongside the side road.

Once I get some more photos of the property, i will post them. these are just the first few I took of it, taken while I was deciding on buying the property.
